Individuals in my circle provided this information to me unconditionally, so i’ll also share it with everyone else who might need it.
If you need vaccinations, physical exams or other medical services and do not have a doctor or health insurance here are some places you might consider. Website links provided.
Esperanza Health Center
This center also provides various medical services, dental and testing at a low price depending on your income. Provide your household’s income and they’ll determine your co-pay. Check their websites for more information.
Philadelphia Health Centers
Provides various health services. Just register for a health center card. The drawback is that they’re usually booked 3 to 4 months, so make sure to make an appointment months ahead.
Walgreens TakeCare Clinic
Located in the North East, just make an appointment to get a physical, vaccination and other services. Convenient and appointment slots are plenty. The price is cheaper compared to local hospital if you do not have insurance.
Washington West Project
Provides free HIV/STI testing/counseling and give out free sti prevention kits (condoms, lube, etc). They also provide medical care for youths/adolescents.
If you’re looking into other clinics or hospitals, make sure to ask for a student discount. Some places will provide it and will save you tons of money.
